Super Bowl XL: It Took Me a Month to Get Over It - Anja Crotts

Anja Crotts still can't get over the Seahawks' Super Bowl loss.

A month has passed and I have waited to write a single article until I would be less upset and a bit over the whole Super Bowl situation involving the corruption of the game. Less upset? Sure. Able to write about it now? Yes, but carefully. Still disappointed? Absolutely. I have tried many times to put my thoughts down on paper but nothing I can say comes close to what has already been said by the pros.
I have read many different pieces by famous journalists over the past few weeks and am continuously pleased by what others are saying, and I don't believe I can express myself better than them, for everything they write is like words coming from my own mouth.
I think my favorite article was by Kevin Hench of FoxSports.com in his article ³Seahawks Won Everything But The Game². He reviewed the stats of the game which showed that no losing team of the Super Bowl has ever dominated a game like the Seahawks did.
Michael Smith of ESPN.com also wrote a great article titled "Game's third team upstaged Steelers, Hawks." Michael points out how the Seahawks definitely made their fare share of mistakes, but when the final whistle blew, there was only one conclusion to draw: The Seahawks got robbed.
Holmgren said it best in his speech at the Welcome Home ceremony at Quest Field the day after the Super Bowl. Standing up on the podium, Holmgren said "We knew it was going to be tough going against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well." Amen.

Personally, there is nothing I can say or do to make myself feel better about the whole situation. I am still in a state of shock and disgusted by the refs being the one figure of authority on the field and not calling the game as it should have been called - Fair.
As for the Seahawks 12th Man? The Steelers developed one of their own:
